The Pertelian X2040 PC Assistant is a device that condenses the various tasks running on your computer and puts them into a central location right in front of your eyes.Â The device itself is a small LED screen that connects to your PC via USB port.Â The screen scrolls at a speed you choose, and updates the information that you program into it.

You can sync it with your email server and it will notify you when you have email, your Ebay account and it will monitor your auctions for you, it scrolls stock quotes, the weather in your area, the music thats playing on your PC, instant messeges and more.Â Â Â The best part is that you can get this information all at once.Â All information is real time!Â The device is pretty intuitive actually, and the fact that you can monitor auctionsÂ is really a great feature, especially if you are an Ebay junkie like myself andÂ want to monitor several auctions atÂ once.Â

The only drawbacks for me are that you have to dig a little bit to get the information programmed in initially.Â The device does not promt set-up.Â Although it does automatically start scrolling the tracks you are listening to on your media player.Â Another drawback for me is the large cord, hopefully down the line Pertelian will make a wireless version.Â The device does not come with software, as Pertelian updates it so frequently.Â Â In order to download the software,Â you to log onto thier website.Â If you are interested in seeing a liveÂ demo of the product log onto www.pertelian.com
