Is the Blackberry Pearl Too Small?

Initially, out of the box, it’s quite a bit smaller than any other Blackberry made, or the Treo or even the Blackjack.  The software that came with it for syncing, is pretty much exactly the same software I had in 2003 when I owned a BB. It loaded quickly and effortlessly. They always had nice software.  I plugged in the device when I was told to, and wow, it synced perfectly the first time. No issues.  Mail began trickling in after setting up the mail account.Â
My only complaint is that it is too small to be practical. If you are going to be primarily using it to read emails only, it might be ok, provided you can see small type reasonably well. If you are going to be a heavy user, then I think the buttons are too small, and the screen may be unuseable, especially in certain lighting conditions.  Perhaps it’s good for Munchkins, or maybe elves.Â
I was thinking of getting one for my garden gnome. “Hello jeff? This is your garden gnome…you know the one behind the hydrangea bush.. anyhow…can you water this thing? I’d do it myself, but I’m made of plaster and I’m not very flexible… thanks”.

Couldn’t agree more. This thing is best suited for children and extremely small adults. I’m going to let my leprauchan do my typing for me.
