How-to: Fix your Flash in a flash

Has your Flash stopped working on YouTube or Newgrounds or some other such site of funnery? Here’s how to fix it whether your computing style is “British royalty” or “Vlad the Impaler.”

For those “reinstalling is so crass” people:

1) Go to to “c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash”
2) Run flashutil9b.exe
3) Enjoy Flash content

If that doesn’t work or you just like to burn things, here’s the “Vlad the Impaler” approach:

1) Uninstall Flash Player using Add/Remove Programs
2) Uninstall Shockwave Player using Add/Remove Programs
3) Reboot PC
4) Install Shockwave Player
5) Install Flash Player
6) Enjoy Flash content
