Can’t print in Microsoft Works?

Microsoft is aware of a problem printing spreadsheets and databases in Microsoft Works 8 on a computer running Windows Vista. Until the problem is fixed, here is a workaround:

1. Set the default printer to Microsoft XPS Document Writer.
2. Open the file you wish to print.
3. Select File > Print > Print.
4. Specify the name you want the XPS file to have. The default location where this file is saved is in the Documents folder for the current user.
Note: When the default printer is set to Microsoft XPS Document Writer, it creates a XML Paper Specification (XPS) document that can be viewed or printed from any browser. The printing process creates this file.
5. Locate the file just saved with the XPS extension and open the file.
6. Internet Explorer will automatically launch and open the XPS file. Click File > Print > Select Printer > Print to print the file.
